About Peter van der Werf
Peter van der Werf is engagement specialist, covering the consumer staples, healthcare and chemicals sectors. His areas of expertise include impact investing, labor rights, supply chain management, access to medicine and nutrition and social and environmental issues in the food and agri sector. He is an advisory committee member of a number of PRI working groups such as agricultural supply chain, sustainable palm oil and deforestation. He gained over four years of professional experience in business development in frontier markets before joining Robeco in 2011. He holds a Master’s in Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University.

She has a particular interest in retirement outcomes for women. Prior to joining PRI, she spent seven years as chief executive at the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees, an association for Australian asset owners. Reynolds has been a director of AUSfund, Industry Funds Credit Control, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and Women in Super. In September 2012, she was named one of Australia’s top 100 women of influence by the Australian Financial Review, for her work in public policy. Reynolds also serves on the International Integrated Reporting Council, the council for Tomorrow’s Company, the Global Advisory Council on Stranded Assets at Oxford University, and the Business for Peace steering committee.

About Henry Jones

Henry Jones is serving his fourth term on the CalPERS Board of Administration and his second one-year term as president. Prior to being elected president, he served three years as vice president of the board.
He retired in 1998 from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) — the second largest in the nation. As chief financial officer, he oversaw LAUSD's $7 billion annual budget. He also headed their Annuity Reserve Fund Board overseeing the pension fund for 7,000 schoolteachers and administrators.

Jones currently serves as a personnel commissioner for the Los Angeles Community College District. He is a member of the governing board of the Robert Toigo Foundation, a nonprofit organization that encourages minorities and women to pursue careers in finance. He also serves on the board of the Pacific Pension & Investment Institute, an educational organization that assists pension funds, corporations, financial institutions, and endowments worldwide with their fiduciary responsibilities, particularly in Asia and the Pacific region.

Previously, he represented CalPERS on the Advisory Council of California All, a nonprofit organization focused on closing the achievement gap from preschool to professional careers in law, financial services, and technology.

He has served on the board of directors for Community Partners, a nonprofit organization that works with social entrepreneurs, grant makers, and civic leaders to design solutions, foster, launch, and sustain initiatives for change.

In addition, he was the state finance chair for the Association of California Schools Administrators; treasurer for the National Council of Institutional Investors; chairman of the Los Angeles Schools Federal Credit Union; business development executive for IBM Business Consulting Services; and principal consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Jones also served as an adjunct professor at California State University, Los Angeles.
He has a bachelor's degree in business administration and finance from California State University, Los Angeles.

About Masja Zandbergen

Masja Zandbergen is head of sustainability integration at Robeco. She holds a Master’s in Econometrics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and is a CEFA charterholder. Her background is in equity portfolio management, in which capacity she has been responsible for a global financials fund and European portfolios. Masja started her career at Robeco in 1997. In 2003 she joined the sustainable investing team and helped set up the active ownership (voting and engagement) approach, with specific responsibility for social issues. She then moved on to start her own company, focusing on advertising sustainable investment products, and later became head of equity at Syntrus Achmea. She rejoined Robeco in 2015 and in her current role as head of sustainability integration, she is responsible for coordinating ESG integration across asset classes. Zandbergen is the company’s spokesperson on the topic of sustainability and works with clients to share knowledge and expertise on this field.

About Nigel Topping

Nigel Topping has been appointed by the UK Government as the High Level Climate Action Champion for United Nations climate talks, COP26. Most recently he was chief executive of We Mean Business, a coalition of businesses working to accelerate the transition to a zero carbon economy. Prior to that he was executive director of the Carbon Disclosure Project and has also been a board member of The London Pension Fund Authority.. He has 18 years of experience in the private sector, including as a senior vice president of supply chain for a global automotive component manufacturer. He holds a BA in Mathematics from Cambridge University and an MSc in Holistic Science from Schumacher College.

About Claudia Kruse

As managing director global responsible investment and governance Claudia Kruse is part of the management team of APG Asset Management reporting into the CIO/ board. APG manages more than EUR 538 billion on behalf of Dutch pension funds. Her 15-people strong team implements the responsible investment policy on behalf of APG and its clients across all asset classes. The focus is on active ownership, ESG integration tailored to the specific investment strategies and investing in solutions that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. 
Before joining APG in 2009, she worked on the buy and sell-side in responsible investing in London for almost a decade. She has been appointed to the German Corporate Governance Code Commission in 2016 and is a member of the EU Expert Group on Sustainable Finance since January 2017. She is on the board of Eumedion, the Dutch Corporate Governance Platform as well as the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN). In 2016 she was voted CIO Europe’s Next Generation CIO Award winner. 
She holds a MA in International Management and Chinese, as well as an MSc Tourism & Development (UCL, London), and has lived and worked in China in the 1990s on environmental education. She has inter alia published on the Governance of Sustainability and the integration of ESG factors into remuneration which reflects her strong belief in the connection between good governance and sustainability.
