We discuss our personal experience with veganism and the implications your diet can have on the environment with a specific focus on the meat, soy, dairy and fish industries. In this episode we discuss the issue of food waste and its environmental implications. At the center of our discussion is the Waste Hierarchy, which is part of EU law. We talk about how producers, transporters, suppliers and individuals contribute to the problem of food waste and how they can reduce their contributions. As we discuss the Waste Hierarchy we debate why the UK is not complying with the EU directive and is choosing to burn edible food via anaerobic digestion, when edible food needs to be redistributed among people who need it. 

In this episode we debate whether the dark side of zoos, Sea World and trophy hunting outweigh the alleged benefits of those practices. We draw upon statistical evidence and various arguments, which argue for and against these practices, which are well known for their entertainment purposes as well as their investments in animal conservation. Throughout this podcast we bring to you various ideas as to why their conservation efforts are not enough. 

In this episode we tackle the topic of sustainable period products and why so few women choose to use them. We conducted our own research survey on young women like ourselves who kindly told us what period products they use and why - we analyse the results of this survey and touch upon our personal experiences. We give a historical overview of period products, talk about the immense damage disposable period products are having on the environment and discuss how sustainable products, such as the menstrual cup, washable pads/underwear have room for improvement. An overarching topic throughout the entirety of this podcast is the prominent social stigma towards periods, which still pressures women to be discreet and shameful about one of the most natural bodily processes.
