2016 in Pro Wrestling was one of the craziest years of wrestling ever. It was the year where I officially became hooked on not just WWE, I ended up growing to love promotions outside the WWE bubble such as New Japan, Impact! and Ring of Honor.  I want to look back, reflect and see how certain matches and events that year hold up five years later and how they changed the industry.

For the pilot episode, Andy and I watched the 2016 Royal Rumble which was momentus in the moment, but also a worthwhile rewatch that not only gave us numerous looks into the evolution of certain stars of today, but also it gave us an idea of the kind of year 2016 was in wrestling.
