Swan Casting

On this weeks episode we have a post hardcore/proto punk LEGEND! You may know him from various musical acts such as 30 Year War, Just Like Vinyl, and Fall of Troy. We are proud to announce Thomas Erak. Whether you are from Mars or Mukiltiearth this episode is a must! Thomas was nice enough to spill the beans for us and we were lucky enough to catch a few of them. We dive into his mind and learn what it’s like to write music for Fall of Troy vs his solo project, joining chiodos, using bidets, collaborating with Kurt Travis, Mukltiearth, touring with dancegavindance and so much more

If you are a True Dance Gavin Dance and Swancore fan this is the episode for you.  We had the privilege of talking to  Kurt Travis. What a great dude! Some would say he is Rock Solid. He gives us some secrets and deep looks inside the Dance Gavin Dance Universe. We talk about his time in DGD, his solo music, his record label, Push Over, Eternity Forever, A Lot Like Birds, his relationship to Will Swan, and about Royal Coda. I feel like we should retire after this episode because Kurt left nothing "In Question" (Royal Coda pun)

Christopher de Cinque the lead vocalist of Closure in Moscow and fellow DGD fan joins us from across the globe to waste some time on a lazy Sunday morning.  We really had fun with this one. If you are a first time listener this is a great one to start with! Chris was an amazing and hilarious dude. We talked about what it was like touring with the DGD lads, writing for Jonny Craig, and working in the studio with DGD's favorite producer Kris Crummett.  Chris tells us about the late 00's and early 10's high note arms race,  his approach to writing music, explains the relationship between bands and the people on the production side of an album, and.... Oh yeah! They are working on a NEW ALBUM.  If you haven't listened to Closure in Moscow yet I guarantee you will love them. First Temple is one of Rob's favorite Albums and Pink Lemonade is one of Shane's all time favorites @ us and let us know your favorite.

Swan Casting is back baby.  Things get a little crazy as Shane establishes himself as the worst podcast host in history, Rob agrees with Shane making everyone uncomfortable, and Matt explains that a saxophone is not a brass instrument. Also In episode 4 we break down our interview with Zac Garren, talk about the live stream, and discuss our favorites from the instrumental release of After Burner.  Enjoy!

If you really want an inside look at Dance Gavin Dance this is the episode for you! On this episode we interview former member/current writer for Dance Gavin Dance and lead guitarist of Strawberry Girls Zac Garren .  Zac gives us plenty of incite about writing with the band and their creative process.  We also talk about writing catchy for Strawberry Girls, his favorite artists and we ask for a side project with Nic Newsham. Enjoy!
