Today On Swapping Shoes I had a wonderful chat with Martin Kallesoe, the mastermind behind the International Gathering, happening next week in Gerlev, Denmark.
Martim is a Parkour OG, stuntman, in charge of Parkour in the Gerlev School, manager of Streetmovement, and Kie’s father. Impressive resume! More impressive than that is his Parkour history in which you will learn about in the next minutes. We also talked about Parkour parks, the old school training ways of Yamakasi and of course, a lot about the famous International Gathering.
I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.

We are back! Now as a part of Parkour Earth! To REstart things off, I had the immense pleasure to have a chat with Lynn Jung. Lynn is a legendary parkourist based in the UK who is actively in the game for over ten years. She was the best female in Red Bull Art of Motion 2016 and is one of the most prominent girl mover in the scene. We caught up on the show she just finished touring in Luxembourg, jobs, competing and the recent discussion about female representation in this year’s art of motion.
I had the honor to talk with Ihab Yassin, all the way from Frankfurt Germany. His movement is keeping us jaw dropped on a IG page named littleparkourhulk. Filled with energy, personality, and a transparent display of passion for Parkour. We talked about his background and upbringings, the benefits of parkour, and dove a bit into parkour and dwarfism. Man is a friggin legend. This is a good one. Hope that you will enjoy it.
Joel is only 18 years old and has been busy creating quality content on the socials and he is also printing a whole magazine with his team. We talked about movement styles, competitions and a lot about the duality between skateboard and Parkour. So let it roll. I hope you will enjoy.
Chris Grant is an old school Parkourist and current development manager of ParkourUK. His work transcends jumps and his experience is being driven to push parkour forward. One more really important and informative conversation. I hope that you will enjoy it.
Thanks for listening! We gave each other the chance to talk and try to understand ourselves. The way this story turned out is very surprising. I hope you will enjoy it!
This is a story I didn't want to be part of. Or I maybe chose to be with my actions. What would you do? I would like to hear your answers to the questions I proposed in the end.
