We were thrilled to have Comedian, Producer and Founder of Soul Joel Productions, Joel Richardson and Comedian Brendan Donegan on our podcast. Ellen and Joel go way back, we talked about how Joel started out in pharmaceutical sales which led to his desire to perform stand-up comedy and quickly establishing himself as a producer and creator of Soul Joel Productions, one of the biggest independent comedy production companies on the east coast. Having produced touring comedy shows at various venues for years, Joel opened up his own comedy venue in Royersford, PA, only to have to shut it down due to Covid. Being the astute entrepreneur, he created an outdoor venue next to the club that has been a massive success. A behind the scenes look as to what transpired during these Covid times, is now available in a fascinating film called "Shutdown: A Documentary", which was co-produced with Brendan.
