Episode 180-Anger, Good or Bad?

Is anger good or bad? Growing up I was sure anyone who was angry was evil. Anyone who was gentle, patient and peaceful was Godly all the time.

I didn’t like angry people because I had grown up with angry people. But I also grew up with one of the most gentle, patient and peaceful fathers in the world. What I was about to learn rocked my world.

Episode 179-Life and Death

Life and death are really not choices we get to make for ourselves. God decides when we are born and when we die. No matter what we think, He is in charge. On March 26 a good friend of mine passed from this life. Death is hard for us, because this life is all we know. So we cling to it tightly.‬‬

We are each unique, a one-of-a-kind masterpieces. No one else is like us. Everything about us was created by God on purpose for a purpose. When we discover that purpose, our lives will change exponentially. Knowing our purpose will make living here on earth enjoyable, even when we are dragging around our broken clay pots. Our bodies are not meant to be eternal. They are temporary.

Episode 178-God's Love Covers Us

We all know that God has an intense love for the human race. After all, He created us and breathed life into us. We are the pinnacle of His creation. We are His children. 

Early on, though, humanity rebelled. Eve just had to eat what she was forbidden to eat. 

God told both Adam and Eve not to eat of that one tree, but they did it anyway. Of course there was quite a bit of encouragement from that old snake.

Because of their rebellion, a landslide of sin entered the world. God is Holy and hates evil and wickedness. However He still loved His creation. He wanted to provide a way back to Him when they disobeyed. 

This shows the depth of God’s magnanimous love for those who have accepted His Son and His hatred for those who are wicked. Learn more about these huge emotions of hate and love.

Episode 177-More than Enough

Do you feel like you aren’t enough? Is your dream to feel like you are enough? What would it take for you to become more than enough? Is that even possible. Well, Jesus said in Matthew 19:26 NLT, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”

Episode 176-Doubt and Faith

Are doubt and faith incompatible? Is it OK for a Christian to doubt? Is there a good kind of doubt? Is there something we have to do in order for even a small amount of faith to work. 

I used to think that if a person had doubts that meant they didn’t have faith. Now I know our doubts are what God can use to solidify our faith. Not convinced? Neither was I until I realized God invites us to ask Him the hard questions. 

If we never have doubts and don’t ask the difficult questions, we will never be totally convinced that God is who He says He is. We learn by asking questions.

Episode 175- From Old to New

We all know this foundational scripture found in 2 Corinthians 5:17. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

I’ve always read this scripture in regard to salvation and it is about that, but it is about so much more than the moment of salvation. Accepting Jesus as our Savior, does make us new. Then, the Holy Spirit continues that work teaching us how to live as a new creation. 

When we accept Christ, we have another choice. We can choose to follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit or we can continue to live in our old ways. This episode will explain more about this process.

Episode 174-Don't Give Up!

God gave me a simple message to share. Don’t. Give. Up! I don’t know what you are about to give up, but God sent me to tell you this very simple, but incredibly difficult message. 

Don’t give up when everything in your life looks like it is falling apart. Many of us give up on God when we can’t see how everything in our lives are going to work out. We have to have faith. We don’t know how, but God is great at Plot M. Just when our stories are looking like they are going to end badly, He comes to our rescue. 

We have to walk by faith, not by sight as 2 Cor. 5:7 tells us. Everything we see may tell us no there’s no way this has any kind of grand ending … but God!

This episode will help you understand how faith can help you hold on to God when all you want to do is give up.

Episode 173-Move from Victim to Victor

Every person has a story. Every person has been through difficulties. But many have been victimized and don’t even want to become a victor. However, that is the only way to free.

I’m living proof that a victim story can become a victor story when we learn to fall completely in love the Holy Spirit and allow Him to help you become a victor.

This episode will help you understand how those caught in the victim mentality act and how you can know when you’ve become a victor. Becoming a victor is the aim and God will get us there if we want it!

Episode 172- How Much Are You Worth?

How much are you worth? What is your life worth? Some economists say an individual’s life is worth $10 Million. I read the article but I still don’t understand how they came up with that number. Scientists say that chemicals in the body are only worth about $5. I don’t understand that figure either because there’s a lot to the body and how God put it together. My accountant would say something somewhere in between those two. Closer to $5 than $10 Million for sure. 

Of course, I’m not talking about how much are you worth monetarily. I’m talking about what the essence of who you are is worth. What is your soul and spirit worth? The body will one day fade away, but the essence of who we are lives on forever. 

God, though, sees us valuable, worthy, and priceless. We talk about that and how to live worthy of the calling God has for us on this episode.

Episode 171-It's Frustrating!

It’s frustrating! I don’t know how many times I have heard those words in the last few days. We are frustrated about so many things, but we are all accomplices in our own sea of frustration. We want more from ourselves and then have no plan to accomplish what we want or if we have a plan it doesn’t work for some reason. 

There’s this viral ticktok video and IG reel that has woman saying, “Holy Spirit, Activate! Holy Spirit, Activate! Activate! Activate!” Then, she calmly says, “Ok I’m ready now.” That’s exactly what we need. When we are frustrated we need some specific pieces of the Holy Spirit’s truth.

This episode will help you understand what you need to do when you’re frustrated. Hint: It’s not eat cookies!
