A 2-1 win saw Rising play spoiler as they took all three points off of Birmingham Legion, the current leaders in the Eastern Conference. Rising was the dominant team from start to finish. Dominating in both possession and chances, Phoenix controlled the tempo for the majority of the match as they put Legion under siege as they consistently won the ball in key areas of the pitch.

All goals came in the second half as Danny Trejo opened up the scoring in the 58th minute while Carlos Harvey bagged the match winner in the 66th minute. Despite a few mad scrambles in Rising’s box, the defense stymied any hopes of a Birmingham equalizer down the stretch.
