Swell Shenanigans

On this episode of Swell Shenanigans Amanda talks with Ashley Leechin, a creator with 1.1 million followers on Tiktok. Ashley was reached out to by the brand Sweety High about "partnering" with the Grammys and the oppertunity to walk their red carpet. After sharing it with her audience, buying her dress, and boarding her flight to Los Angeles, she was told she was not going to attend the award show. "It's Hollywood. It happens all the time."

I reached out to Ashley to talk about being reached out to by Sweety High, her contract, her insane amount of deliverables, and that phone call where she learned she had flown to Los Angeles for nothing.

AND WE'RE BACK! Finally Swell Shenanigans is back from hiatus and not a moment too soon because AI art has gotten out of hand. Renezuo is an artist who like Amanda has alot of feelings about AI art and the disscussions around it.

After we recorded a class action lawsuit was announced against MidJourney and other AI art generators. You can find information about that linked here: https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/pranavdixit/ai-art-generators-lawsuit-stable-diffusion-midjourney

On this episode, I talk with Bill Marler, the food safety lawyer who is representing over 160 people in a case against Daily Harvest. We talk about how this case is different from others, a possible ingredient that could be causing the symptoms, and what we can do to help make our food safer.

If you have been affected by the Daily Harvest Crumbles or have samples to send in you can reach Bill here: [email protected]
