Rob became the President and CEO of Swim Across America on January 1, 2016. Previously, Rob was the executive director of U.S. Masters Swimming. Under his leadership, USMS created a nationwide program that provides certification to coaches, instructors, and aquatic directors who are coaching adults. In 2012, Rob's team created the Swimming Saves Lives Foundation that advocates and provides grants to program partners that are teaching adults to swim. USMS membership increased more than 50% to more than 60,000 and revenue increased from $1M to $3.6M. Rob swam four years for Georgia Southern University, earning both his undergraduate and Masters degrees from GSU. He competed in the 2000 USA Olympic Trials. Rob and his wife Allison are parents to twin boys. Like so many affected by cancer, Rob's mom Maria, his hero, passed from appendix cancer in 2007.
