...There were many days I had to use vacation days for a business meeting with a potential partner or an event where I could network and meet more customers. My cubicle began to feel empty, even if I was swiveling in my desk chair, all I could do was think about running my business and trying a new idea that would make money.

I watched my bank account grow in the last half of the year. I hadn’t hit the magic number that I needed to quit my job yet, and I was too afraid of leaving behind my health insurance, 401k and bonuses. But I couldn’t hide my Zoom coaching calls in my car anymore, nor the constant Facebook message notifications that pinged in meetings. The choice between leaving my job to work my business full time left me feeling torn each day.

By March of 2018, there was another round of layoffs, and this time I was issued my severance package.The universe decided for me. It was over. I didn’t have to manage both anymore.....
