Colour footage of Swinburne versus Brighton 1951 Football Grand Final played at Oakleigh Football Ground under very muddy conditions. Swinburne was successful, kicking 5-10 to Brighton's 2-7, and so became the premier team for the second successive year. "The boys were very fortunate having a coach of the calibre of Mr. Lascelles, who is to be congratulated on the fine team work displayed in the final series. Our outstanding recruit for the year was Graham Smith, who was a sensational forward, and, when roving in the grand final, teamed very well with Trevor Grant, who was a brilliant follower."
