Thank you Blackriver for giving me this opportunity and the space at the venue to interview people there!
I spoke to two friends while the Fingerboard world championship, aka FastFingers 21 was going on. They share the Instagram account Improviso, both had great runs and Francisco ended up in second place while Pedro narrowly missed the final top 6 by getting 8th. We discussed how their runs went, how it is to compete at fast fingers and about competing in general.
This year I got the amazing opportunity to be invited by Blackriver, the organisers of the fingerboard worldchampionship, Fast Fingers 21 to do a couple of interviews there.
I’m starting these specials off with one I did at the morning of the event, before the contest started. I got a few people together that me and a many others considered to be some of the favorites. Tobias “Stolly” Stoll, Alex Christ “El Gringo Grande” and Ramon Angelow talked to me about how they feel and how they prepared for the worldchampionship.
This episode was recorded almost a year ago and I never got around publishing it.

This week I sat down with deckmaker exordinair, Chris, the man behind Beastpants. We talked about his process of making decks, creating graphics, coming up with his beautiful split ply’s, his colaboration with Welcome Skateboards etc.
I decided to put on a bonus episode this week. I spoke with Afrobi and Berta, both part of the lgbtqi+ community and well known names in the fingerboard community. We spoke about how it is for people like us in the fingerboardboard community.
It’s been somewhat of a mission for me to talk to everyone who has a physical fingerboard shop. They are such pillars of the community and I love seeing them getting more and more. So this time I talked to Bijan who opened the pLAyhouse in LA with the help of another member of the community. We talked about why he wanted to open a store, how he got into fingerboarding etc.
