The Psalms were written in large part to offer praise to God. How can we use the Psalms in worship to praise God and how can we structure our lives in order to bring God praise?

The whole range of human emotion is found in these beautiful poems. God is perfectly capable of taking on even our deepest lament and anger.

We will focus on phrases that have found their way into our consciousness through music and liturgy. 

What are the five books of the Psalms and what is their prophetic nature?  What do the Psalms from David tell us about his personal relationship with God?

Using the parable of the Good Samaritan, we will reflect today on whether or not we are truly generous in the eyes of God. What does that mean? How do we share our abundance of money, gifts and talents?

Obstacles exist to discipleship, including lack of trust in God and the pull of society and the world.

How do we build our discipleship by becoming more like Christ in our lives? How do we learn what that means and put it in action?

How does the concept of being more like Christ make us better disciples? As disciples, how do we worship, prepare for worship and engage the body of Christ?

What does the Great Commission tell us about bringing people to God and how do we do that?

 What does it mean to be hospitable and how does that relational understanding bring God to people?
