PrEP, or pre-exposure prophylaxis, was listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) in Australia in April 2018. This is a big step that has the potential to move PrEP prescribing out of specialist sexual health clinics and into primary care settings, making it more widely available to more people who need it.

But we're only a few months in and many people may have questions and concerns. So we're asking: what do health professionals need to know about PrEP?
