In our weather segment, Johnny details the cool and brisk morning temperatures across various parts of Sydney on this 11th of August, 2024. The CBD starts us off at a nippy 10.6°C with the wind making it feel even chillier, and an expected high of 19°C along with chances of light showers. Moving west to Parramatta, temperatures are slightly colder at 8.5°C but are anticipated to rise to similar daytime highs, while over at Bondi Beach, things are mildly warmer at 13.2°C with highs around 17°C and the likelihood of showers as well.

On the transportation front, Sydney drivers will experience seamless travels this morning, with no reported incidents on the roads. For the public transport users, particularly those attending or tracking the City2Surf 2024 event, please note altered routes from Hyde Park to Bondi Beach. The good news is there’s free travel available on trains and buses for all event goers, along with additional shuttle services available post-race to ensure everyone gets around easily.

Sports enthusiasts, particularly NRL fans, don’t forget about the doubleheader at McDonald Jones Stadium featuring the Knights vs. Tigers. It’s recommended to start your commute early to avoid the inevitable pre-game rush. No matter the weather or traffic, Johnny reminds everyone of Sydney's spirited atmosphere and hopes listeners have a truly wonderful day.
