synthesizer workshop

this song from 1981 brought soul and FM synthesis to the electronic sound. the 2 DJs from leeds made cover of 2 soul songs and mixed them together for a 12" dance track. A roland drum machine and the synclavier of their producer Mike Thorne made a special minimalistic sound . We made it with the original roland DR55 drum machine, FM sound with Yamaha DX 7 (we don't have a synclavier) and analog sounds with Korg MS20 and ARP 2600; Vocals by Joya

this song brought sampling and techno groove made with analog synths and the fairlight musik computer. So we made it with ARP Odyssey, ARP 2600 and the old firelight sounds. Vocals by Joya

with this song Ryuichi Sakamoto initialized 2 new genres. dub and electro funk. We made it with MOOG modular, ARP Odyssey, ARP 2600, YAMAHA cs80 and some delay units. It was about creating music with the mixing desk and delays on the recorded analog synths and sequences

remake of the song "pop muzik" from 1979. The english musician Robin Scott poduced this in France so there is the charmant french accent on the back vocals.

We made it with ARP 2600, SC Prophet 5, Roland pro mars. The non electronic instruments are made also electronic. Sax with Korg M1, Guitar with AAS string studio, Drum fills and pipe organ with NI Kontakt.

this song from 1977 was made only with a moog modular system exept the kick. So it is a perfect aim to handle with the mother of all synthesizer. Actually it was the first techno track with combining the beat of a machine with the sexiness of analog sounds and vocals.
