Children have more challenges sitting still and they often represent stillness as a form of punishment instead of understanding the benefits of being still. With practice, a child can build strong mental muscles that helps him/her to remember important things, build self confidence, accomplish goals, improve communication and certain attributes such as kindness and compassion for everyone in their lives. Practicing Stillness can also help to have a clear understanding of emotions and most importantly, the ability to maintain a calm and collective nature when faced with difficult situations.
