It culminates with Nate trying to sneak the elephant-sized notion of broad debt forgiveness under a flap in the libertarian tent.

That leads to a discussion of the Federal Reserve and the role of central banks in capitalist economies. A broader discussion of libertarian-ism ensues. Then, Nate advocates for a neo-Reformation in which we stop paying interest to the wealthy for access to their money, much like the denizens of the late Middle Ages stopped paying the Vatican for sin forgiveness.
This episode starts out with Brian fantasizing about joining his version of the circus: a Pink Floyd cover band. Then the lads address the thick layer of propaganda that blotting out the actual definition of communism, and discuss the relevance of that layer to American life in the 21st Century. After a damage assessment of the capitalist corporate structure, Nate details the hidden role that Platonism played in shaping the fall of Rome and the Renaissance, and how it's now playing an under-appreciated role in the 20th and 21st centuries. Has science stumbled upon an unmentionable secret that it now must keep?

Then they circle bags to drugs by discussing Saagar Enjeti’s recent anti-weed tweets. The next topic of conversation is Jon Stewart’s strange sourness regarding Tucker Carlson’s recent interview with Vladimir Putin. And finally, Nate caps off the show by inviting listeners to think of debt forgiveness as segmenting our economic game into a playoff series of many games instead of a single Super Bowl.
