System Mastery 310 – Tales from the Floating Vagabond 2e

Part of this job is getting to hold extremely weird things in our hands, things we never expected to be real, and this is certainly one of those times. Three hundred and seven episodes ago we discussed Tales from the Floating Vagabond. Between then and now the author, Lee Garvin, passed away years ago. Now we have the second edition ANYWAY, and it’s neat to hold. Let’s talk about it!

Movie Mastery – Crossroads (2002)

Britney Spears gets everything she’s ever wanted while her friends’ lives crumble around her. Woo! Fun road trip!

Expounded Universe 309 – Galaxy Class Ass

One of the perils of recording early is I’m guaranteed to forget what the episode was. But good news, I think they met one of this book’s big bad guys, a pugnacious and dangerous Imperial officers hanging around in a ziggurat.

System Mastery 309 – Invisible Sun Lore

Yeah yeah, we did the thing. God knows there was plenty more content. James is still here to help us process all this stuff. Thanks James!

Movie Mastery – Magic Mike (2012)

The raw charisma and undeniable talent of Channing Tatum can only do so much to save this mostly forgettable movie

Expounded Universe 308 – Don’t Neglect the Dualities

Hey hey, it’s time to meet Halla! She’s a fun archetype that was made common in West End Games Star Wars RPGs, the burnout force user. We’re also gonna find out about the big MacGuffin of the book this chapter, the Kaiburr Crystal.

System Mastery 308 – Invisible Sun

This is almost certainly the largest product we’ve ever attempted to review! As a result there are some gaps in coverage here. We may yet revisit this game just to do a deep dive on the setting, if there’s interest. Otherwise, welcome to the whimsical world of not quite wizards that is Invisible Sun, recorded twice for various reasons, and featuring our network president James D’Amato, because we like that guy.

Relationship Mastery 14

James D’Amato stops by to help us answer some significant questions about where regular fucking turns into monster fucking. What’s your line in the sand?

System Mastery 307 – Micro Games Roundup 2

Let’s lay out what we’re discussing here this week. It’s three games (in four books) comprising Clever Girl, #Flirt Squad, and Anyone Can Wear The Mask. We love checking in on micro games from time to time, they’re a refreshing change from the elderly tomes we normally peruse.

Movie Mastery – Gleaming the Cube (1989)

A totally radical skateboarding movie that has very little to do with skateboarding and a lot to do with Vietnamese crime drama
