Mulder and Scully go to New Hampshire to assist a local detective with a case involving the mysterious murders of high school boys. Uncorroborated eyewitness accounts of demonic rituals being conducted usher in a panic, which leads the townspeople to believe the murders are being committed by Satanists. To further complicate matters, a rare planetary alignment is causing everyone in the town, including Mulder and Scully, to act abnormally. This episode was written by Chris Carter and directed by Rob Bowman.
