T Martin Bennett wrote Wounded Tiger a book that tells the story of the Zero pilot, Mitsuo Fuchida, that began the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor; essentially starting the US's involvement in World War 2. 

Martin's book weaves together 4 lives that shaped one another...which sees Mitsuo evolve from a Japanese warrior with a deep hatred for the US...completely change his views. He actually immigrates to the US and raises his kids there. 

Another incredible tale and book that is a MUST read.
