There’s a lot of Sanskrit words you might find around your local yoga studio. You might hear teachers and students say them, or you might even see them printed on a t-shirt for sale at your studio. Maybe you’re not sure what they mean, or have been to shy to ask.  Or, maybe people pronounce them differently, and you’re not sure what is the right way to say them!  Well, here to help you clear that all up is Lakshmi Nair, of Satya Yoga Teacher Training for People of Color. 

You will hear an everyday yoga word pronounced correctly, and then a definition of the word OR a (sometimes silly) example of its use in a sentence.  This is by no means an exhaustive list, we just chose a handful or words that seem to float around the studio!
