T Time

In this episode of T Time, we get back to our roots of education and clarity by diving into a topic that is high on our radar (and should be high on yours, too): the transgender sports ban. A particularly controversial, yet greatly referenced topic these days, legislation around the transgender sports ban has been circulating the U.S. and its social media platforms, and it is a very important topic to work towards understanding. This episode is all about presenting an introduction to where this ban came from, highlighting what is going on with it today, proposing counterarguments to those who claim its creation is based in "science," and all-in-all, educating listeners on why we believe the ban is disgusting, absurd, and detrimental to every single one of us. Lastly, we touch on a couple of action steps that we can all take to help prevent these notions from becoming laws!

We’ve realized that in order to fully move forward in using T Time as the positive and educational platform we intended for it to be, we have to wrap up the majority of our tea spillage. So, in this episode of T Time, we invite you all to join us in this vulnerable space of dumping out the rest of the “T” that’s left in the kettle. Because ending on a positive note is so important to us, we wrap up with sharing the happy and supportive messages we’ve received throughout different parts of our journey! Lastly, we invite you all to join us in this movement towards self-empowerment - if you’d like to do so - by sharing personal experiences with your own Alexes, as we want to help bring the experiences of others to the light as much as possible.

In this episode of T Time, we skip the deep dive and jump right into sipping some “tea” with our first ever guest, Gaelen! Sit with us this week as we break through the restrictive lens of the gender binary so that we can continue on this beautiful quest for education and inclusivity.  More specifically, we’ll be taking you on the important journey of defining gender as a social construct, learning firsthand what it means to be genderqueer, diving even deeper into the topic of pronouns, and taking in all of the knowledge and insight to be gained from our favorite genderqueer queen, Gaelen!
