  • "How Can We Know The Way?" John: Week 23 (John 14:1-6)
    John 14:1-6 / September 23th, 2017 / Dr. Todd Gray
Jesus’ disciples had a hurricane of burden in their heart and they felt like they were going to be crushed by its landfall. Do you let the hurricane of stress pound against your soul? What does Jesus say we should do in this situation?

  • "Defined by Love - Not by Mistakes" John: Week 22 (John 13:31-38)
    John 13:31-38 / September 17th, 2017 / Dr. Todd Gray
Mistakes…we all make them, every day. Knowing that should bring you comfort and conviction at the same time. Knowing we all make mistakes is comforting because we know we are not alone. However, we also should be convicted to actively work to fix mistakes and avoid them in the future…all for the purpose of glorifying God and pursuing Jesus as our example with the help of the Holy Spirit.

  • "Serve as the Savior Served" John: Week 20 (John 13:1-17)
John 13:1-17 / September 3rd, 2017 / Dr. Todd Gray ** Hurricane Harvey has devastated much of Southeast Texas. Many in our Tabernacle Family, including Pastor Todd, dropped what they were doing to serve those who were affected by this disaster. In our passage today we will see Jesus, the Master, humble himself to serve others. This scene shows us so many things about the heart of Christ and yet also gives us the example to serve as the Savior served.

  • "The Ambassador of God" John: Week 19 (John 12:44-50)
    John 12:44-50 / August 27th, 2017 / Dr. Todd Gray
Freedom and prosperity were current day factors tackled in today’s message. For us Americans, these are the 2 most vital things we value and fight for. However, in many cases these things can have tremendous dark sides that Satan will wheel to his advantage if we are not careful.

  • "Seek God's Approval" John: Week 18 (John 12:37-43)
    John 12:37-43 / August 13th, 2017 / Dr. Todd Gray
**Without Christ, all our hearts are hardened. Indeed, God may harden them even further. But just as God breathed into Adam, turning dust to flesh, He wants to do the same for you. When God breathes life into your heart, He receives the glory. Sometimes our hearts are hardened by God. Sometimes we harden our own hearts by choosing to please others over being obedient to God.

  • "Surrender Guarantees Victory" John: Week 16 (John 12:20-26)
Is there someone in your life that you have been negatively affected by? Work this week in prayer and petition to find forgiveness for them. If they are not a believer, pray for Jesus to find a way into their lives…possibly through you. Also, consider ways in your life today that you have been seeking a better life, a big win, or victory over something. Then ask yourself if your method is that of the Bible’s teaching, or of your pride and desire. Consider how you could apply one of today’s ironic truths to the situation, and see if turning the situation over to God doesn’t turn out to be the path to victory.

  • "The King is Coming" John: Week 15 (John 12:12-19)
    John 12:12-19 / July 30th, 2017 / Dr. Todd Gray
**As you move into this next week, consider the ways in which you publicly proclaim and testify about the things of this world (sports teams, political endeavors, etc.). Compare those things to the ways that you publicly testify and celebrate you love for Jesus. If something were to happen to you tomorrow, which would you be more known for if people in your life were polled? If the answer to that question isn’t solidly in Jesus’s court, consider how you could make a change that would put your legacy in Jesus’s court.

  • "Honor Christ and Let Him Honor You" John: Week 14 (John 12:1-11)
There are relationships in all our lives that could probably use a little more commitment. However, none are as important as our relationship with Jesus. Our salvation depends on it and every action and thought we make as Christians should spring from it. Only good things come from our relationship and commitment to Jesus. Think about how you can improve your commitment to Him this week. What do you need to let go of to get closer to Him?
