Tabernacle Baptist Church

We have been united with Christ to live for Him in this life and with Him in our death.

Paul is showing what and why those who are saved by faith through grace will walk in obedience. Our motivation to walk in obedience is Christ in us, and the overflow of God dwelling in us results in obedience and love for God. Obedience is not a matter of making God love us, it reflects our love for God and us being united with God.

Christ must be the center of Christianity. You will find joy when you say I am not enough, God is.

You are united with Jesus so live like it. You are destined for glory, so live like it.

Christ died for our sins, and for that reason, there’s no intermediate between us and God anymore. Jesus tore the veil in two. In 1 Peter 2:5, Peter tells us that we need to be a holy priesthood, so WE ARE THE PRIESTS! Because of this, we get to walk with God! We get to commune with Him!

Commune means to converse or talk together, usually intensely and intimately. Do those words describe your communication or communion with God?

Commune with God so you can:

1) Exercise your faith

2) Experience the supernatural

3) Extend God’s glory

Are you ready to step out in faith and watch God work?

Sometimes we can get complacent in our walk with Christ in a certain season, and think that this is the way things will ALWAYS be. And then God comes and changes things to where we move into greater dependence upon him.

We as a church are seeking our next Lead Pastor, but in the meantime, what do WE do? What’s the next thing we need to prepare ourselves for this new season?

We need to Consecrate Ourselves. We need to Come Clean!

What battles have you lost time after time, and what battles are you losing, because you are harboring sin in your life? God wants you to experience the abundant life, the exciting adventure of being a follower of Christ. And He wants to use you and this church.

God always uses clean instruments. So the question is, ARE YOU CLEAN?

Pastor Jeff Lynn will be preaching in the next few weeks in the book of Joshua. It’s about what you are going to do during this time of waiting.

This is a great time for you to prepare for whatever man God calls to lead you into this next frontier. You may believe that you should just “maintain” during these next few months as the Pastor Search Team does THEIR job in calling a new pastor. However, I believe this is no time to sit idly by.

I believe YOU can prepare yourself for the arrival of your next pastor.

Wouldn’t it be great if, when your new pastor comes, you would be ready to follow his leadership and be spiritually prepared for what God has for you?

This is a great time for you to step up and be a part of what God is doing and will do at Tabernacle Church.

We live in a world that does not want to accept fault. We live in a world that does not want to see their own sin. Believers sometimes do not want to see their sins in their lives. If we don’t recognize our sins, there is no genuine repentance, and consequently, there is no confession of these sins.

In the eyes of God, there are just two types of people: the righteous and the unrighteous. So how do we obtain righteousness?

Philippians is well-known as the book of joy. Just like Jesus was in Paul's heart and mind, we need to seek God with all we have so we can have a deep relationship with Him.

Know Jesus! Obey His words! Hil will is good to you and He wants to bless you infinitely so you can bring glory to Him and bless others!

In this sermon, Pr. Greg Schanfish reminds us of five things every Christian needs to do in times of transition. They are:

1- Evangelism2- Discipleship3- Fellowship4- Ministry5- Worship

May this be your mission not just in this time of transition, but every day in your life!

In the holiday season (and the rest of the year), be like Mary. She wanted to be WITH Jesus, she was not trying to DO things for Jesus. The most important thing you can do for yourself and your family is to be with Jesus, enjoying His presence for all the days of your life!

Jesus came to earth to be the Christ, our Savior, and LORD. He is worthy of all our praise and because He came here we have free access to the Father. Hallelujah!

Matthew was the Gospel that was used more than any other Gospel for the first 200 years of the Church. This was the Gospel used for the new believers, and Matthew was written to the Jews because its genealogy starts with Abraham.

There are so many Old Testament quotes in Matthew that will prepare Jews to hear that Jesus is really the fulfillment of this promised coming boy, the Messiah.

One of these prophecies is the Three Wise Men, which Dr. Utley will be speaking today.
