The table has turned this week and I’m being asked the questions by my friend Simon!

In 2015 I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Crohn’s is a lifelong condition of which no one knows what causes it. There’s currently no cure.

With 76% of people with Crohn’s and Colitis feeling like the public don’t understand the conditions I thought it’s a good time to share my story of being diagnosed and living with Crohn’s.

Doug specialises in using hypnosis for weight loss. He says by focussing on the emotions behind weight gain he can help his clients achieve significant weight loss.

Table Conversation is one years old this week! I’ll be chatting with you about this milestone.

It’s that time for our conversation at the table! This week taking a seat at the table is Integrative Counsellor and Psycho-educational coach Andrew Ellis.

This week I hopped into town for an evening with Holly Willoughby, it wasn’t a one on one but it was an event for the launch of her book Reflections! Join me at the table as I share what I took from the evening and listening to Holly’s book. Reflections by Holly Willoughby is out now.

This lead to a late night in a week where I have been struggling with sleep since the clock change. Hear what science has to say about changing the clocks and why sleep is so important to us. I’ll also offer some of the tips I discovered this week! OK, artistic licence, it’s not really a quote from Shakespeare! It is a question that a couple of weeks ago I had to ask myself.

After looking at the screen time setting on my phone I was disgusted with myself - I was spending over one and a half days a week staring at my screen. Join me at the table this week to find out what I have been doing tor reduce this time. I will also share the science I have discovered that explains why and how we get addicted to our screens.

It’s just me and you at the table this week, asking whether we should just cancel Christmas now? I am sure you can guess my answer!

With supply chain issues will we even have a turkey on the table? I’m exploring some of the reasons why we are experiencing some shortages and why I believe we need to have a think about what Christmas is really about.

It seems that Project Fear is on it’s way back with some parts of the media beginning to tell stories of demands for Covid restrictions to return. Listen to find out if these demands are justifiable and what the real picture actually looks like. In the lead up to Christmas it’s time to decide if we will allow any possible restrictions to cancel our festivities - not if I have my way.

Get yourself comfortable, it’s time for this week’s Table Conversation! With me at the table today is my friend Gemma. This past week in the UK it has been Baby Loss Awareness week, Gemma joins me to share her story of miscarriage. Gemma bravely and openly talks about her three losses and how women in the UK must have had three miscarriages in a row before it is considered a medical issue. This can often lead women, lead couples to feel like they are overreacting or that their loss is discounted.

Gemma is breaking her silence about the mental health impact of her losses – with the aim to help others to open up to. Miscarriage is often seen as an uncomfortable topic, but we must start talking about it, today Gemma and I do!

This week I am joined at the table by my cousin Corrie - at 40 now, Corrie has been battling stage 4 cancer since November 2018.

After over 40 rounds of chemotherapy, numerous operations including having his primary tumour removed, a liver resection and having a colostomy bag - he shares some of his story, how he keeps physically and mentally in the best shape he can, his hopes for the future and why a ground breaking treatment is so important to him.

He is a complete inspiration, someone I am blessed to call my family - just listen and find out why…
