Welcome back, Bone Ponies! This is the 4th play session of our deep dive into Symbaroum as part of our TTRPG Discovery series, where we select a TTRPG and run campaigns to showcase the game mechanics.
In this episode, the adventurers begin to feel the growing darkness in the forests of Davokar and face many trials as they traverse the wild landscape in search of a ruined temple. They then experience first-hand what dangers are truly lurking within the woods around them as foes far greater than spiders seek to destroy the adventurers.
In our last episode, the adventurers began their 30 day trek into the darkness of the forests of Davokar, leading a caravan from the Order of Prios to an ancient site of religious importance. This relic, this ruined temple is from the old empire that was Symbaroum. After navigating for several days, the party was beset upon by creepy spiders. Will they survive this arachnid ambush?
This video is intended to showcase how a game of Symbaroum can be played for those new to the system and the world of Symbaroum. This is part of our new format for reviewing games where Tabletop Totality will introduce our viewers to a system, play a small campaign for said game and then finally review it. While we have covered Symbaroum before and played it live for various events, we strongly believe this game is deserving of all the attention we can give it because the bottom line is that this game is awesome!

It is no secret that we absolutely love the TTRPG 'SYMBAROUM' by Free League Publishing / Fria Ligan. With that said, we decided to give the game further attention as we wholeheartedly believe that the game setting and system are deserving of it. In our new format for reviewing games, we will be showcasing the system and walk the viewer through the basics of the game, including character creation. We will then create a small campaign for the game and record our playing of that campaign so that viewers interested in learning about the game can see how the system and rules function in real time. Thanks for everything, Bone Ponies and be sure to sound off in the comments about what games you would like to see us feature in the immediate future!

Symbaroum is a TTRPG set in a dark fantasy world. Symbaroum is filled with the ruins of a once powerful world that was cast asunder and invites the players to delve deep into that darkness. The system itself is fast paced with rules that allow flexibility at the table. Long time players of games such as Dungeons and Dragons will find this game to be not only enjoyable but refreshing. Combat and Magic function uniquely as does rolling for different skills or abilities. Symbaroum is also beautifully designed with gorgeous artwork that makes us as game developers, incredibly envious. There is a treasure trove of content, published adventures and more available for this game so please, do not hesitate in picking up Symbaroum and finding out for yourself why we love it.

Building a character with depth and lasting story power often starts first with determining the events that shaped said character before they became adventurers and heroes. Choosing the right background can not only positively lend to the story you are creating for the character but can also potentially mechanically benefit the character by providing additional skills, abilities and equipment. As always, the 3 Piece Tendies break down this topic and encourage you and your players to create your own backgrounds. Saddle up, Bone Ponies!
