He has his M.A. in Political Science from Long Island University and B.A. in Sociology from Kean University. He has more than ten years’ experience in the educational field specifically on the college level and GED/Adult Basic Educational services. He also has several years’ experience as a career coach. He has traveled throughout the United State and Latin America and has studied the progress of people of African descent to measure realistically how much progress has been made since slavery and Jim Crow ended. He is convinced that one of the reasons there is still such a societal lag for African Americans is due to low self-esteem and a poor self-image that is perpetuated by the macro social institutions.
