Neil Blake has worked behind the scenes in the television industry for over 30 years primarily as a director and associate director. In 2001 Neil launched the BlakeRadio Network which was a streaming service featuring nine channels; including the very successful streams Music Massage, Joyful Noise and Rainbow Soul which featured over 25 talk show hosts whom many went on to have their own successful podcast platforms. The entertainment portal also featured video streaming and articles. Neil ended the project after 15 years because of the lack of revenue and the changing landscape of music streaming and podcasting. Christopher D. Cathcart is a renowned branding and public relations expert with more

A graduate of Howard University's School of Communications, Cathcart has excelled as

a key PR executive at some of the world's leading media and entertainment companies,

including CNN/Turner Broadcasting, Motown Records and Warner Bros. Television. In

1995, the New Jersey native launched OneDiaspora Group, a communications consulting

firm, where he serves as president and founder.

Over many years as a PR pro, Cathcart has worked with such icons as Stevie Wonder, Jill Scott, Queen Latifah,

Boyz II Men, the Temptations, Brenda Russell and Take 6, as well as many other talented

performers. Through his work as a media trainer, he has helped improve the interview

skills of well over 60 recording artists, as well as leading businesspersons and political

figures.

As a speaker, Cathcart has addressed a broad variety of audiences, from students of all

levels to industry professionals and non-profit groups. Additionally, he serves as an adjunct

professor for both Syracuse University and California State University/Northridge,

teaching communications courses.

Cathcart lives in Los Angeles where he serves as chair of the LA Bison college fair/

He started this health journey in October of 2011, after reaching a body-weight of 260 pounds and 30% body-fat. He continued losing weight until reaching 168 lbs, with 4% body-fat as of November of 2012 and reversed his high blood pressure during this time. She was a very good student. Her activities as a kid were Brownies and Girl Scouts. She left Pitman for New York City in 1984 to go to the Fashion Institute Technology. There she worked full time in the Fashion Industry while she went to school. She earned as Associates Degree In Fashion Merchandising and Buying. In 1999, she and three other women produced an Off-Off Broadway Show. It was then Gina decided to go to the New School University in New York City to get her undergraduate degree in Film Studies & graduated with honors in the Spring of 2004. She entered the Media Studies Graduate Program the following fall at the New School. In her first semester, she took a film theory class. In this class she met the accomplished documentary filmmaker Jesse Epstein. Once they both graduated they embarked on the adventure of owning their documentary filmmaking company J&G Media. Gina and Jesse were married in 2008. In 2013, at age 50, Gina gave birth to their beautiful daughter Myah. Gina volunteered as a speaker for NAMI's In Our Own Voice Program.  After 33yrs of living in New York City, Gina and her family have moved to Costa Rica. In 2017, she embarked on a career as a blogger and writer. The name of Gina's blog is Gtopia and it encompasses her life in Costa Rica, being a mother, wife and advocate for others. About Guest speaker Jason Paden. Jason Paden is a multi-faceted artist and inventor who grew up in the Schoharie School District where he graduated early with his Diploma in his Junior Year due to mental health issues that were newly emerging. After completing his Associate’s Degree at Sage College of Albany, majoring in Multimedia/Visual Arts, he began independent video work such as filming weddings and parties for clients. Soon after his long Recovery from major mental illness through his twenties and early thirties with a diagnosis of Schizo Affective Disorder, he discovered NAMI – the National Alliance on Mental Illness, where he became a IOOV presenter trained by none other than Lady Charmaine. He later went on to become an active NAMI Board Member in Fulton, Montgomery and Hamilton Counties for two years. Independently, Jason created his own presentation story and became a professional motivational speaker addressing agencies, groups, colleges and schools with a unique custom designed multimedia presentation of his Recovery story, which has been shown at various educational engagements throughout the Northeast. It's been a long road of many ups and downs and many creative endeavors but today, Jason has finally finished a 15 year project he lovingly calls this colorful cast of characters His Quirkz that seek to destigmatize people’s fears around talking about mental illness. Jason recently invented and patented a little phone gizmo called “The OopsLoop” that uniquely prevents people from dropping their phones, all while helping raise funds for future creative projects that raise mental health awareness! Clara Kiely is a native Brooklynite who took a detour through St. Louis to complete her Masters in Social Work. As the Outreach Coordinator at the National Alliance on Mental Illness of New York City, she oversees outreach efforts and events in the community and coordinates programs and workshops including the Public Education Event lecture series and the In Our Own Voice presentation program.

Glenn Speer grew up in Montclair, New Jersey and works in journalism and publishing. He received a Ph.D. in History from the City University of New York Graduate Center and taught History aboard a US Navy aircraft carrier somewhere out on the Mediterranean. For fun, he volunteers as an usher for plays both on and off-Broadway. But his claim to fame is that he worked for the Guinness World Records Book—he likes to say that while he is not in Guinness, his writing is...

Sonja Van Breda is an active member of the In Our Own Voice Program, which sends people with mental illnesses out to hospitals, colleges, and organizations to speak about their experiences. Coming from a history of abuse, she was diagnosed with PTSD in her thirties. Originally from Australia, she now lives in the Bronx and is writing a book about her recovery.
