Taboo Talk featuring Lady Charmaine Day www.ladycharmaineday.com. Guest star: Dr. Dayo Lanier. About Dr Dayo Lanier. Dr. Dayo Lanier is a pediatrician, turned writer, consultant, speaker, singer-
songwriter, life-long learner and Founder of Dr. Dayo Lanier | Reserved Rebel.
Dr. Lanier is a graduate of Cornell University and received her medical degree
from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at
Buffalo—SUNY. She completed her pediatric residency training in Austin, Texas.
In 2007, Dr. Lanier started Pediatric Wellness Consultants, which focused on
developing and implementing community-based health, fitness and nutrition
education programs for children and their families, primarily in pre-schools,
elementary schools and churches.
Soon after, Dr. Lanier began writing and recording children’s songs which
encouraged exercise and dance, inspired healthy eating and promoted self-
confidence through lyrics geared for that purpose. Her debut single, “Drink More
Water,” was released in August 2010.
Since then, diagnoses of ADHD x 3 in her family shifted her focus to what could
only be described as a “personal, scientific study” of parenting and family life with
ADHD and its intersection with introversion and career change.
Dr. Lanier’s Reserved Rebel platform is deeply rooted in her introverted,
knowledge-seeking, experience-chasing, insight and wisdom-sharing approach.
Her overall focus: encouraging others to honor their differences, embrace
unconventionality, live authentically, and to create a balanced life.
Dr. Lanier lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, Coach Rob Lanier, their two
children, Emory & Kai and their family dog, Sandy.
