Sandilia Day was born on July 18, 1983 at Nassau County Medical Center. She was raised in Freeport, New York and attended Freeport Public Schools. After graduating from Freeport High School in 2001, she attended Temple University in Philadelphia as a Pre-Pharmacy major for two years and worked as a certified Pharmacy Technician for eight years. She transferred schools and graduated with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies from Queens College in 2006. Ultimately, she came to a realization that her calling was to become an educator. She currently works at Roosevelt Children’s Academy Charter School in Long Island and is pursuing her Master of Arts in teaching at Queens College.During this episode Sandilia Day will give recommendations on information parents can share with their young children to effectively teach them so that they are courteous, engaged, morally correct young people and so that they process and understand the information they are receiving.
