In this episode, Dr Katrina Nguyen, a pediatric gastroenterologist shares/discusses childhood obesity and how she's helping families (parents and guardians) tackle it. She shares her early childhood journey from Vietnam to America and how she almost lost her life as a little kid due to illness but miraculously recovered. She has now made it life's her mission help children live healthy active lifestyles by educating parents/guardians and healthy food options, exercise programs and tips on how to help their kids maintain health weight range. Her non profit organization works with gyms, sponsors and other bodies to organize seminars and whole family workout sessions. Dr Nguyen shares statistics on childhood and adult obesity and inherent risk factors which can be prevented by just making healthy lifestyle choices.
