"If you argue for your limitations you get to keep them. But if you argue for your possibilities you get to create them." -Kelly Lee Phipps
I love this quote because it easily explains that we will always get more of what have our minds focused on.
In my recent coaching training, I learned of an incredible concept the involves two lawyers and one bouncer. Yes, the macho bouncer that you'd imagine admitting sexy people into a club on a Friday night.
The theory goes like this…
Imagine that you have two lawyers in your mind…one is arguing for your possibilities and the other one is arguing for your limitations. The one that will win will be dependent on who you pay the most. In this case, the pay comes from your thoughts and attention instead of money.
Then imagine a bouncer who is standing guard in your mind, only allowing the best and most attractive thoughts to run through your head. The negative thoughts get beat the f*ck up by our imaginative bouncer.
What a cool concept, right?
Tune in as Coach Ashlie Walton and Detective Walton break this down more and learn how suffering is actually a choice.
