Taiwanese Proball

Something new and exciting broke onto the sports scene in Taiwan: a new professional basketball league! 20 years after it's predecessor, the P.League+ (pronounced Plus League) is giving bball fans here and around Asia something to root for and be invested in. I take you through the origin stories and the preseason debut of the brand new team.

There's always a buzz in the leadup to the championship, and I wanted to capture that. I call up some fellow CPBL English fans and chat about the season that just ended and what to expect in the Taiwan Series. Welcome to the show: Evan, Alyson, and Daniel. Part 2 with others scheduled for Thursday.

TAIWAN SERIES BOUND. The finale to the CPBL season is upon us. Lions v. Brothers for all the marbles. Each team gets a quick evaluation from me, and the two contenders are pitted against each other for the first time since 2009.

Who's your daddy? Four games left to decide the standings for the second half in the CPBL 2020 season. I go over the managers of the teams to give an overall evaluation. Take it day by day before we say goodbye to the regular season.

All the hits! Today's deep dive into the 2020 CPBL is on the four team's hitters. That and more on this packed episode of the CPBL Chronicles.

Ten games left in the CPBL season, I go over whose starting rotation can take their team to the second half title and what are the matchups to look for in the Taiwan Series. There were some familiar faces in the player of the week as well as some surprises. Friday 10.9 is my last broadcast so what baseball movies do you recommend we watch over the offseason?

The Bullpen special! The emphasis this episode is on the hurlers who get the late innings, blowout innings, and game saving innings. Of course we go over the four teams; where they stand and what achievements they accomplished to help their team to victory. Three (ish) weeks of CPBL baseball left ya'll.

Uni-President Lions top the standings but are they the most consistent team? Which team was left out from a winning week? That and more in this edition of the CPBL Chronicles. Don't forget to tune into my broadcast on Friday 9/25 and all CPBL games on Eleven Sports TW.

ALMOST a four way tie in the CPBL half way through this season. Who did well who just tread water last week? Hey two players get shutouts for their defense! You all know that's my favorite part of the game. Get caught up, or relive the action here.

Alex, my teammate for 6 years is the first guest of the podcast. We both grew up loving baseball and the CPBL. We went from turning double plays on the playgrounds to winning some hardware overseas in this unique baseball story. This one goes out to all the teammates we played with over the years.
