The Mornings on 2 Crew takes us to a news conference in Yolo County where investigators tell us more about the massive explosion at the firework facility. The explosion claimed seven lives, and is currently an active investigation.

The crew then discusses about the tragic floods in Central Texas that have claimed the lives of at least 90 people. Allie Rasmus recalls the time she spent in Texas and sheds light on why flash floods are such a challenging element for that portion of the state. Also in the area at the time was a Marin County family who are currently missing. A vigil for The Walker family will be held Monday night in Marin.

We close out Take 2 with the update of the missing woman from Morgan Hill. Her body was found after days of searching. The reported person of interest, Martin Mendoza, was uncooperative in the case and arrested at the Mexico-California border.
