We've had some exciting hunting action already this year. In this episode we talk about Rob and Gabe's Alaska Caribou hunt. They had an incredible time up there in AK and both shot some monster bulls. Mark and Joe talk about their trip to Namibia Africa. They talk hippo hunting, surviving a cape buffalo charge, and hunting plains game.
In this episode of the Take Aim Adventures Podcast, we sit down with David Blanton, one of the most recognizable names in the hunting industry and a longtime member of the Realtree family.
David takes us back to where his passion for hunting began and shares the story of how that passion eventually led him to Realtree, hunting television, and a career that has allowed him to spend decades doing what he loves. But this conversation goes much deeper than hunting.
David opens up about some of the darkest moments of his life and the struggles he faced along the way. More importantly, he shares how those experiences changed his perspective on life, faith, and what truly matters.
In this episode we’re joined by Grant Woods from Growing Deer TV. From an early age Grant became passionate with deer and was set on chasing that as a career no matter what people thought of it at the time. From giving up a high paying job just to get a step closer to his dream, or convincing the dean of a college to give him another chance after flunking out, Grant has worked hard to become the deer biologist we all know today, and is thankful to Jesus for guiding and giving him the strength as we hear about some of the personal challenges he has faced in his life as well.
In this episode we have an awesome conversation with Michael Waddell of Bone Collector. Michael grew up in a blue collar family and only got into the outdoor TV world because he was a good turkey caller. Things just went up from there and he quickly became an outdoor TV sensation. He really brings the fun into hunting and shows what a good hunting camp is really like with having fun with your buddies. That is what hunting should be all about! He also experiences some highs and lows and Jesus was the answer for all he faced.
In this episode we are joined by Lincoln Rohn of Packer Maxx. Lincoln has a business just up the road (the Packer Maxx cultipacker) and has been very involved in advocating for good property and deer management. We talk everything from Lincoln’s life story, food plot tips, baiting, the 1 buck rule, and hunting Africa.
In this episode we are joined by Evan English of Olde English Outfitters. He has a fun story of how his family has been in the archery industry for 3 generations now. He takes us through the ups and downs of owning a pro shop and what makes it so fulfilling and important.
In this episode we are joined by Micah Morgan who produces Bow Life TV for Levi Morgan. Its really fun hearing his story of how he got into filming and then editing and producing the show.
In this episode we discuss technology and hunting and what crosses the line where it becomes too much. Some tech in hunting is really fun. But at a certain point, it definitely becomes too much.
In this episode we interview HHA Co-owner Chris Hamm. Chris has an incredible life story. He got saved at 40 years old and has an incredible passion for reaching people with the gospel and for helping veterans and first responders.
Hunter numbers relative to our population has declined in recent times. Its critical to the sport we love and for conservation that we get the next generation into hunting. In this episode we discuss ways to get the youth into hunting and we have a couple really fun guests on the podcast!
