"Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away." (Heb. 2:1) To hear and to listen can have interchangeable meaning, yet often we hear without understanding. Listening is an action we must engage in, requiring us to pay the price of our attention, perspectives or ideas to be able to truly understand what we're hearing God speaking to us.
