Take it to the River

Listen Later

Last week, instead of sitting in an office, I took my office to the Kettle River.

Joining me were Violet and her beloved Michael from Collective Dimensions. There was no agenda for the day. No workshop. No transaction. No expectation that we needed to leave with a plan.

Just three people spending time together beneath a very large sky.

We wandered the riverbed carrying crystals, building grids, talking about life, healing, community, and the things that matter when nobody is trying to rush the conversation toward a conclusion.

What stays with me most isn’t any particular discussion.

It’s the feeling of the place itself.

The sandstone walls.

The water.

The stillness.

At one point the river became such a perfect reflection that the sky appeared to exist both above us and below us. It felt like standing inside a giant scrying mirror stretched between ancient stone.

The day became a reminder that not everything valuable has to be productive. Sometimes the most important thing we can do is spend time with good people, listen, share honestly, and allow ourselves to sit in the mystery of not knowing exactly what comes next.

Along the way, prayers were offered. Healing was offered. Love was offered.

Not as a transaction.

As a gift.

I wanted to share a small piece of that day with you.

Enjoy the beauty of the river, the sandstone, the sky, and the reminder that sometimes the real work happens far away from conference rooms.
