Take the Coffee

In a world powered by social media, deceit runs rampant, not only in modeling, influencers, and the fitness industry, but in local churches as well. In this episode we discuss how churches portray themselves online and the pitfalls created by social media. Behind all the benefits of social media lies a much, much darker world.

Happy Easter from Take the Coffee! This is one of the busiest weeks of the year for many churches and thus we are taking the week off! This episode was recorded back in January and saved for a "busy" week. We hope you enjoy this episode of a collection of stories and random thoughts we have had!

This week's interview is with our good friend, Paige Cuthbertson, a missionary in the Ivory Coast in West Africa. We discuss her journey from salvation as a young girl and fighting God's will to eventually serving as a Pastor's wife on the other side of the world. We talk the difficulties of living in a third-world country while also rejoicing in the peace and protection of God along the way.  For our coffee spot of the week, we talk the coffee situation in the Ivory Coast as well as some Starbucks hacks.

He has had a huge impact on both of our lives and is a big part of the reason why we are in ministry today. We hope that his unique journey will both bless you and encourage you in your walk with God as you seek His will.

We have had a surprising lack of controversy on our podcast so we decided to create some! We "debate" our beliefs on the job description of the youth pastor in the modern-day local church in order to answer a question posed all the way back in our very first episode at the beginning of our journey through this podcast. What is a youth pastor as defined by the Bible?
