In this episode, Lori and Janelle talk with Denise Melot. Denise is semi-retired from a career that encompassed banking, mental health social work and fundraising. No one intends to have a career asking people for money, but through many God-directed steps, Denise ended up as the executive director of a community foundation in Kansas then became a development director at Oklahoma State University. Denise recently retired, but was asked to assist the OSU Wesley Foundation with their donor engagement program and fundraising priorities. . . so she is back to work.
Denise believes that generosity comes from the heart of God and in our generosity, we begin to see him more clearly.
