In May of 2018, I had the opportunity to meet Gary Vaynerchuk.
Among the many pieces of advice he gave me one that impacted me the most was this:
โ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐๐ค ๐ค๐ฃ ๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฃ, ๐๐ฉ ๐ฌ๐๐ก๐ก ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ค๐ช๐ง ๐ก๐๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ง๐ค๐๐๐จ๐จ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ก๐ก๐ฎ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐จ๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ก๐ก๐ฎ.โ
I didnโt take that advice until November but he was right.

In 2003 I went into work, just like any other day. However this day, I was laid off.
It devastated me and threw my โgame planโ for life in a spiral.
I made the decision to take my side-hustle at the time and turn it into my main hustle building my first company.
Today, I am on my fourth company, ebm, which is one of the largest employee benefits technology platform providers in the nation.
We help benefit consultants, carriers and enrollment firms attract, win & retain business acting as an extension of their team providing expert technology services to organizations nationwide.
