Taking Ground with Aaron Brockett

In this episode, two seasoned pastors open up about the realities of leadership. From carrying pressure and chasing growth to learning collaboration, building teams, and creating margin, they share how their philosophy of leadership has evolved over time.

They also talk about succession, raising up the next generation, avoiding burnout, and the delicate balance between staying in your lane and letting others lead. They unpack hard-earned lessons about control, identity, and why rescuing people can sometimes do more harm than good.

If you’re leading anything, whether it’s ministry, a team, or a family, this conversation will challenge how you think about success, influence, and long-term impact.

In this episode, we’re joined by pastor and author Aaron Graham for a conversation about why progressive Christianity can become a dangerous counterfeit in the church today. They unpack the growing need for discernment as cultural ideas increasingly reshape and challenge biblical truth.

They discuss how faith rarely falls apart overnight but often drifts over time through subtle compromises and why clarity, conviction, and a strong biblical worldview matter now more than ever. You’ll hear practical insight on navigating doubt, deconstruction, and cultural pressure while staying anchored in the authority of God’s Word.

In this episode, we sit down with René Wagner from Zeal Church, one of our partner churches in Germany, to talk about what it means to carry an unchanging Gospel into a constantly changing world.

René shares how God is sparking an extraordinary revival in one of the world’s most atheistic cities. What started as a simple prayer for 30 people has grown into a thriving church with hundreds gathering across three campuses. It’s a great reminder that while the way the Church gathers, communicates, and reaches people may shift over time, the Gospel itself never changes. It is timeless, powerful, and relevant in every nation.

In a world full of cultural outrage, political tension, and nonstop noise, how can Christians stay sober-minded? Pastor Aaron and the guys talk about responding thoughtfully instead of reacting emotionally, the difference between disagreement and rage, and why so many people struggle to hold multiple truths at once. They highlight Jesus’s example of being sober-minded and how prayer and fasting can help reset our hearts, sharpen discernment, and guide us to respond with wisdom instead of anxiety. Rather than withdrawing or getting swept up in the chaos, Christians are called to engage with God’s peace, lift their eyes to the harvest field, and live out His mission in a broken world.

In this episode, our pastors have a conversation about intentional faith and what it looks like to commit a year of your life to following Jesus with consistency, obedience, and trust.

They talk about baptism, how to discern readiness for your kids, and what to do if you were baptized young and now understand your faith more deeply.

They also address the cultural moment we are living in. With constant unrest and emotionally charged narratives, they explore how followers of Jesus can slow down, seek truth, pray first, and stay anchored in Scripture while living as ambassadors of God’s kingdom.

What does it mean to be a bold, faithful Christian in today's challenging cultural climate? In this final episode of 2025, Pastor Aaron and the team share how the early church in Acts provides a blueprint for authentic discipleship.

Like the first Christians who faced intense opposition yet spoke truth with boldness and compassion, we too must learn to contend for the faith while still showing the love of Jesus. They remind us that clarity about biblical truth is kindness and that staying silent isn’t an option when eternity is on the line.

Now is the time to be equipped as disciples who can withstand cultural deception while advancing God's Kingdom with both courage and compassion.
