Jessica Burkham’s Ag involvement began with a 4-H heifer that turned into a family business raising certified Angus beef cattle. After graduation from the University of Nebraska where she studied animal science and beef production, Jessica headed to Washington D.C. to work with a senator on agriculture policy. Now, as Managing Director for Beef Alliance, Jessica works with leaders of the cattle feeding industry to improve the way cattle are cared for.
In this episode she shares about industry innovations, woman in Ag leadership, and dealing with stress and strains.
“If you’re struggling, don’t be afraid to share that… because ten times out of ten, your peers, your neighbors – they’re struggling, too. Or they have and they can offer a lot of really good advice.” - Jessica Burkham
