Taking responsibility for our emotional experiences may sound like an onerous task. It's actually one of the biggest gifts we can give ourselves and the future we want to create. I look at 2 concepts in this podcast: life isn't a 100% positive ride all the time, yet we believe it should be. This creates a lot of self-induced suffering. The other concept that would change how you view the world is that our thoughts create our feelings. We believe that something external, be it a person or happening, creates our feelings. This leaves us feeling powerless and not in control of what's happening in our lives.
