Being the victim of our circumstances is a belief fostered by the media, advertising and the entertainment industry. It looks and feels real, but is it really accurate?
What if the circumstances around us (what someone said or did, the weather, politics, viruses, etc., etc.) were just facts that we reacted to? That they had no bearing on our feelings or actions?
What if circumstances didn't happen to us, but around us? What if our brains, and not the circumstance, created our emotional experience of them?
In this week's episode, I explore the concept that we are a lot more powerful than we think. From awareness, we can decide how we want to react to something, rather than believing we're compelled to react.
