Takoyaki Party

We're back with Day 2 of NMB48's 10th Anniversary Concert Series! Today we talk about NMB's Next Generation Member's Concert (aka the Loliconcert) and Yoshida Akari's Graduation Concert. In addition to highlighting our favorite parts about the concerts, we also get into some philosophical discussions regarding the future of NMB, Akarin's part in the transition process from the old NMB to the NMB, and more.

If you have thoughts about the concerts or even on the greater discussion regarding NMB's future, let us know in the comments!

Akarin's Grad Concert Reports starts at 44:07

Production Notes: There were some technical issues regarding the recording of this podcast, so you may notice a few weird audio things but it shouldn't have a major impact on your enjoyment.

All aboard the hype train! The NMBros are Osaka-bound but before they head out, they get together to talk about NMB's 24th single "Koi Nanka No Thank you" being revealed. We also begrudgingly keep up our graduation announcement streak with Yamada Suzu and Murase Sae and somberly touch on their individual careers with the group. And because it's the reason for the season, we get really excited over all the 10th anniversary collaborations and hype ourselves up for the concerts with dream setlists, special guests, and other predictions.

0:34 - Introductions

On this special edition of Takoyaki Party, the NMBros give some hot takes and strong opinions regarding the aftermath of the Namba Teppoutai election results. We compare the final results to our predictions, and then try to piece together what the hell happened and how did it happen?

On this very early, hot as heck edition of NMB Takoyaki Party, we talk at length about Yoshida Akari's graduation announcement, discuss her impact on the NMB group as whole, NMB's future in a Post-Yamada (Post-Watanabe and Post-Yamamoto and Post-Yoshida) world. After about an hour of that, we continue with some heated debates and discussions about the Namba Teppoutai Election preliminary results, Miru's suggestive solo music video, flossing ninja turtles, fast food mascot ghosts, and more! For this episode we would like to hear your opinions on the Namba Teppoutai Election! Do you think senbatsu members should've been allowed to participate or not? Are you surprised by the members that didn't participate? Which 7 members do you think will rank in the final results? Let us know your thoughts in the comments! In Discord or on Twitter. It's Zoom mania around these parts as Matt and Geoff recount their experiences of talking to their oshis for the first time in ages. We also call in a very important expert to weigh in on Horimomo's graduation. And we talk about the never-ending slew of streams and other zoom content from the houses of Namba. Question for the community: How soon do you think they will reopen the theaters and resume theater shows? Phase 1: No audience theater shows. Phase 2: Limited audience theater shows. Phase 3: Full audience theater shows Bonus Question: Would you be willing to do these Zoom call handshakes with members? If not, what is keeping you from doing so? If you have any questions or comments for us, please write them in the YouTube comment section or you can hit us up on Twitter.
