September 20, 2021Advanced Cello Articulation Tale Teller Club Private Lesson Free Audiobooks Suzuki ABRSMAdvanced Cello Articulation Tale Teller Club Private Lesson Free Audiobooks Suzuki ABRSM.hi guys welcome to advanced cello lesson um i'm a little bit obsessed with articulation personally myself i think articulation is more important sometimes even in intonation as long as you've got the correct interval and the correct articulation it doesn't matter if you're slightly out on the actual note according to science articulation is in my opinion the greatest art in celloplane now i've i've recorded some cello now these are the definitions in terms of a digital logic pro i use logic pro to define these articulations but what i don't want you to do is think oh a robot can just copy what the artist does basically what the the robots actually try to do is copy us and they can't do that they will never do that so these um recordings are actually very narrow descriptions of a mass of movements do you see what i'm saying and they they can't they're technical but they don't express personality and they're quite shallow at expressing um emotion i i think because they're completely um missing the the personality of the human touch so i'm sharing these because i want you to understand when i start going on about how you articulate in one of our classes this is what i'm talking about and i think for that for as a learning tool they're really really good so um in order they are as i use an open note d sustain staccato spicato full long full short scoop fast scoop slow accented sustain crescendo fast crescendo slow forte piano fast fought a piano slow i'm not sure those i agree with the description of those two glissando down glissando up pizzicato trill semi trill hole and tremolo now i'm going to be focusing on our master classes on each of these definitions over the coming months i think they're quite interesting i think we can really play around with them i think it's better for you to have your own descriptors of the difference between i mean staccato and spaghetti are the obvious ones because they're um often written down well pretty much always written down so you know what to do but these other descriptions fall long fall short these haven't been written down for hundreds of years by composers these have been designed by a contemporary digital scientist well an i.t uh creator um in conjunction with a cellist of course they used um i think one of the big fancy symphony orchestras to sample so you know in that sense it's correct but really you know when you when you analyze your own playing you're going to have a different set of descriptors in your head because within each one of these you know for the glycemic down i mean that that basically means you're coming from above in terms of pitch unlikely in terms of physical direction because why else would you have a glissando down you wouldn't go up the up you know position to a higher position and then do a downward unless you've made a mistake probably although as i'm saying that i'm thinking well of course there'll be times when you do that but you know that that it's something that's more likely to happen when you're either making a big circle with your hand and you're coming down into it um or you're doing really a glide a glide so these descriptors are quite narrow i think but have a listen and i i do recommend that you that you listen to each one then stop it and try and copy it it's a really good way of understanding you there's no need to learn these by heart you'll you will know what uh attack what articulation you want to play on each note when you learn your pieces you woul i'll tell you what it's good fun though to do a scale and we'll do these we'll do a scale all staccato a stale or a scale or spoccato a scale of trills you know we'll be doing all of that um but what's really good about this is it just tells you the very very different ways of articulating the very same note so let's have a listen let me see if i can find it and here we gookay oh......more8minPlay

September 20, 2021Goodwood Revival from Royal Clarence Radio, the Suspenders and High Heels Saga Free AudiobookGoodwood Revival from Royal Clarence Radio, the Suspenders and High Heels Saga Free Audiobook.hello gorgeous people welcome to raw clarence radio oh what a weekend i have had i had to spend all day yesterday in bed just to recover so consequently um this is a bit late this update i went to goodwood revival on saturday which actually runs for three days uh or is it four thursday friday saturday sunday i think it starts on thursday i can't believe anybody would go for the whole session and you know the whole four days just exhausting absolutely exhausting totally wonderful had probably one of the best outings i can recall um i was with my daughter and my grandson so you know we have to really uh pandered to his every whim which you know suddenly you're uh you're at the mercy of a three-year-old and that in itself is uh quite tricky but i still have managed to have an absolutely wonderful wonderful time he was so deliriously happy so i would recommend actually it's a really good family day out there were lots and lots of rides to go on the wall of death was absolutely my favorite thing so these guys on motorbikes and they they go round so fast that they come right up a wall and you know they i could almost touch them because you're not allowed to and one guy was he was about perched on the seat of his motorbike sideways holding his hands in the air it was absolutely incredible wonderful wonderful um experience loud and dirty smelled of petrol and i i remember speaking to my godfather recently lord of kemp shot and he'd said that the um the new electric cars are when their race is not the same you get a different sound and you don't get the smell and for the first time i sort of understood what he was actually talking about there is something very smelly and uh i'm sure it's terrible for our lungs but especially you know under tent absolutely phenomenal there were you know merry-go-rounds and dodge them sadly my daughter lost some money on the dodgers because uh she put it put her change of 15 pounds under her knee and it she forgot it basically i mean the thing is when you're looking after a three-year-old you forget everything except the immediate job in hand which is making sure they're not abducted by uh predators so it's you know your it becomes quite stressful after a bit because obviously very crowded um but you know everything's under camera it's very very safe um what else we we did go this was the bit that sort of across the road uh it's called across the road and you know they've taken over a field and they've laid out an incredible tents and roads pathways uh sort of temporary um accessories i suppose for you know these these people know about putting on events uh i don't know what would have happened if it had rained because it wasn't undercover so i imagine if it had been raining it would have been less um pleasant but i'm i'm not sure i mean you i don't think we'd ever get torrential rain in september perhaps showers and i expected showers um now then i had very high heels on big mistake don't go in heels and now i understand why so many people dress up as land girls it's so much more comfortable and my feet were in agony absolute agony by the end of the day and that's why i had to stay in bed all day yesterday to rest my feet i mean it was the cells of my feet it was that constant you know that constant treading very very uncomfortable however i still managed to have a glorious time uh lots of ethnic food well no not ethnic food i love ethnic food more like street food and i i bought halloumi fries there were eight i shared them with my daughter and they were covered in paprika and i think i had an allergic reaction but you know that was okay and um you might be able to hear it i've got my my tongue swirled up so i'm i had to come home and go on the straight back on the antihistamines but that's okay we can manage all this sort of thing and um so the food i'd met a gentleman on the train actually it's......more30minPlay
