August 11, 2021Scales Challenge Grade 3 ABRSM A E B Majors All Levels beginners advanced Free SchoolScales Challenge Grade 3 ABRSM A E B Majors All Levels beginners advanced Free Schoolhi tail tellers welcome to b major and of course this is the um scales challenge we've got to play a e and b today um but let's just go over there's a couple of changes which i which i do need to point out and they are changes in fingering so with this b the right hand fingering is exactly the same one two three one two three four one two three one two three four and pinky okay and then back down three over so thumb on the b three over thumb on the e two three over and two and one okay not too complicated but darlings the left hand is a little bit tricky we're starting on a fourth okay four three two one and over with our fourth again four three two one on the b do you see we need to end up with a thumb on that b and then we're going to pass a third over so the threes go over when it's two black notes and the four when it's three black notes you see so three two one four overand one on the bokay did you get that so now we have to do as part of our challenge all three without a mistake but let's keep it slow hand separately so the a and visualize it before you play it if you're in an examination situation you need to know that we've got a c sharp and an f and a g so avoid that that d sharp okay soand the left e major soand the leftand b majorsoand the left on the fourth bravo it's quite good isn't it when you get it all right so i hope that you're doing all that by memory and tomorrow we're going to start b flat major and we're going to be looking at flats and i'm rather excited about all that because i really enjoy all the flats because we're doing so many of them in the um in the blues and jazz classes that we're doing so that's it for today for piano and join me and we'll do another three tomorrow and before you know we would have done all of the grade 3 scales and we can get on then with our arpeggios and before you know it we'll be on grade 8. that's how it works a little bit every day and before you know it you're flying a rocket all the way to the moon because you're amazing...more5minPlay
