Two interesting rock bands joined TalentCast last week. The first one from the Netherlands doesn't really like Facebook and doesn't understand YouTube. The second one is a 4-piece psychedelic Anglo rock band from Chile. You will hear both today. A song by symphonic metal project from New Jersey (US) got the most votes during last week's voting round. I will play the winning song towards the end of the programme/podcast. This time the programme features mainly peaceful and relaxed tunes, but I will start with a happy and uptempo song by a London based band.

A rock musician from Manila (Philippines), a rock and metal duo from Santiago (Chile), and a folk band from Nantes (France) joined TalentCast last week and sent us their music. This week you will hear 4 artists who are being played on TalentCast for the first time: a pianist, composer and vocalist from France, an independent singer-songwriter from Hampshire, England, a rapper from Calcutta, India, and a project which recorded an album live on the internet in a single take. I will also play an unreleased song, which is not on the internet yet and exclusively for the listeners of TalentCast, and there is much more attractive independent music in a nice mix of varied genres. I start with a Finnish musician who is just visiting the Netherlands, travelling with her piano, two guitars and PA through the country, to play shows.

This week you will hear two new artists on TalentCast (a country singer from New Zealand and a rockabilly musician from Georgia) and a convincing Song of the Week winner. Most of the music I am going to play is relaxed, only at the very end of the programme I will play two louder songs. The first three songs are by musicians from California. All of them have upcoming performances, so maybe some of our Californian listeners would like to visit one of these. The first song is by a soul singer from Santa Monica.
